Check an AI voice
Every voice our server makes — the host's lines and the bots' voices — carries a mark inside the file that says it is AI-generated, signed by us. Upload a clip, or give the address of a clip on this site, and see what it says.
Check a clip
Made by MafiaVoice's AI. The mark is intact and our signature checks out.
It carries our mark, but the sound was changed after we signed it.
Marked as AI-generated, and signed with a key that is not ours.
Marked as AI-generated, but not signed. It may be one of our older files, from before signing began.
No AI mark in this file. That does not prove a person recorded it: the mark is lost when a file is converted or re-recorded.
Signed:
What the mark says
Inside every OGG or WAV file our server sends: SYNTHETIC=1, the name of the generator, the IPTC term trainedAlgorithmicMedia (the standard word for AI-made media), the time it was signed, a fingerprint of the sound, and an Ed25519 signature over all of it. The response also carries the header x-content-synthetic: 1.
Check it yourself
Read the mark with any audio tool, for example ffprobe -show_entries format_tags:stream_tags clip.ogg. The public key the signature is checked against is at /api/ai-mark/key.
Nothing is kept
The file is checked in memory and forgotten at once: no copy, no record of what was in it. Checks are limited to a few a minute from one address.
Voices made on your own device
A voice your browser or phone makes for itself never becomes a file we could mark. For those, the table always shows a line saying that the bots and the host are AI and their voices are synthetic.
